This was a trip with fellow Pajero Club members to Lake Mungo NSW via the Victorian Sunset Country (north west of the state).
Dry as a bone. I can't imagine how they manage to keep the stock alive

The entire surface is covered in salt, as shown by the white where it's been washed over at some stage
This is a mound of salt left over from the days when it was mined here. The crust has formed over a long time
It was as quite and peaceful as this photo suggests
I can't recall what they mined here but the trucks were filled from this hopper
