The utilities on this page were created to enhance OziExplorer. They are supplied as freeware and may be used and shared as you wish. The only restriction is that they may not be sold.
Note: The versions of the programs available for download may be newer than those shown in the images, as the software may be updated more frequently than this page.
I've learned that some of these programs are used in ways I never imagined. If you use any of them in what might be an unusual way pease let me know about it at john@gardeniers.com.
Before we get to the utilities, I'd just like to point out that although Oziexplorer is a Windows program it is quite possible to run it on either Linux or Mac machines by using WINE or Darwine, as applicable. Visit http://www.winehq.org/ or http://darwine.sourceforge.net/ for more information.

Download OziPics
OziPics allows you to automatically create waypoints from a folder of photos and a track plot. OziPics allows you to make adjustments to the time stored in the photos, in order to correct for things like Daylight Savings or incorrectly set camera times.
Version 2 has undergone a major internal redesign which has resulted in a massive performance boost. During testing OziPics processed a folder containing 1,300 photos against a track log of over 8.5MB in less than 1 minute.

Download OziSetPoints (includes the source code)
Resulting from the author's own system of use, OziSetPoints was designed to allow waypoints to be created quickly and with the minimum of fuss.
To create waypoints in OziSetPoints the user simply needs to either click on the "Set Waypoint" button, press the Enter key or the space bar. (Provided of course that the OziSetPoints window is the currently active window.) You will then be prompted for a description. You may choose to use the default description by exiting the prompt by pressing either the Enter or Esc keys or simply ignoring it for a configurable time period. This single key press system allows waypoints to be entered very easily even when you are busy doing more important things, like driving.

Download OziSpeed
Download OziSpeed2
I use my GPS receiver to check my the speedometer in cars but it's not always easy to place the receiver where I can easily read its display. OziSpeed shows your current speed in large numbers in a resizeable window on the computer screen, making it much easier to read. In order to use OziSpeed moving map mode must be turned on in OziExplorer. For best accuracy when checking your speedometer you should be travelling at a steady speed along a straight, and preferably level, road and have good GPS reception.
OziSpeed2, created in response to a request by Mika Lukkarinen, adds the ability to set alarms for over speed, under speed or both, plus the ability to display speeds to one decimal place.
OziSpeed (either version) requires OziAPI.dll to function. This dll is included with the OziPics and OziSetPoints installers. Alternatively you may download it from the Oziexplorer web site at http://www.oziexplorer3.com/oziapi/oziapi_dll.zip
