General Software

Theses are just a few utilities I've created for my own use but which may be of some use to you. They are supplied as freeware and may be used and shared as you wish. The only restriction is that they may not be sold.

Note: The versions of the programs available for download may be newer than those shown in the images, as the software may be updated more frequently than this page.

Postcode

Postcode is a simple lookup utility for Australian postcodes. Unlike similar programs this one allows reverse lookups as well, so you can see which town or towns a postcode belongs to.

To install just unzip the downloaded file into any folder you like. The two files within the zip file must be contained within the same folder but you are otherwise free to relocate them if you wish.

Where

Download Where

Due to problems the author experience with Windows Search (it wouldn't run on a few machines) he created Where. Once it's installed you'll be able to right click on a drive or folder to commence a search. Although it isn't quite as flexible as Windows search it is much faster.

FolderBackup

FolderBackup is a fairly simple but very effective backup program. It allows you to backup selected folders to zip files in your chosen destination. It can selectively include or exclude files and or sub-folders. It can be used manually (interactively) or can be scheduled to run automatically via the Windows task scheduler. See the included help file for details.

HideEmail

HideEmail
Download HideEmail

This one is for people who work with web sites. It's purpose is quite simple - to disguise a mailto: link so that it is hidden from email address harvesters, while still being fully functional. If you look at the mailto: link in the source code of this page you will see what I mean.

Operation is simply. Just type the email address into the input box and click "Encode". The disguised link will be placed in the Windows clipboard, so it is ready for pasting directly into your web page code.
