This is the personal website of John Gardeniers. Feel free to browse. Unless otherwise stated, the files available here are freeware, written by myself.

I live in an outer eastern suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia with my wife Nicole. I have worked in diverse occupations, including two apprenticeships, but have been working as an IT professional since 2000. My computer experience extends well beyond that, reaching back to 1972, a time when the only way I could realistically own a computer was to build one. The next step of course was to learn how to program it, which is something I still enjoy doing.

Nicole and I enjoy four wheel driving. The photos on this site were taken during various off-road adventures or during our all too infrequent holidays.

The photo in the page header was taken from a camping spot alongside the Derwent river, where we stayed on our way into Hobart in 2008.

Please note that the old site has been migrated into this new one and all links should be properly redirected to their new equivalents. If you find that something is not working correctly please let me know by leaving a comment

Changes to This Site

I have migrated the old site into this one, which uses WordPress (Open Source blogging software). My apologies for any inconvenience caused by broken links or other issues. I’m fixing things up as I find problems and making other parts work better as I get more familiar with how things are done in WordPress.

The translator has been removed from the site, as it was stretching the limited resources of this web server too far. Of course you can still use another service, such as the Google translator, if you require it.
